A slave leaves his master and goes to Paul to try and become a brother of the church but Paul convinces the slave to go back to his master with a letter convincing his master to let him become a brother of Christ. Onesimus (the slave) had a bad relationship with his mast Philemon. But once the slave becomes a Christian, Philemon gains respect for Onesimus. Therefore, Philemon must treat Onesmius as a brother and also a slave.

In addition it says that their relationship should be smooth and to accept him as a brother in the name of Christ.

So before Philemon goes anywhere he must go back with a letter to Onesimus. Now paul in this tells Onesimus that he must be treat Philemon as a brother. Which is very awkard because they do not have the best relationship slave:slave master.So Onesimus under the faith of The Holy Spirit he treats Philemon with the respect of a brother.
